In the second volume of the ASM Forte Forward series, Anne-Sophie Mutter presents works by two composers close to her heart: André Previn and Sebastian Currier. The programme features Previn’s Piano Trio (2009) and Violin Concerto No. 2 (2010), with its unusual combination of solo violin, strings and harpsichord. The album is completed by Currier’s Ringtone Variations, a playful duo for violin and double bass written for Mutter and Roman Patkoló.
